  • Create product designs and assemble new cooling hardware that meet specifications

  • Produce solid models and engineering drawings for parts, subassemblies, and top-level assemblies

  • Creatively apply design-for-manufacture techniques for additively and subtractively manufactured parts

  • Quickly select and source fasteners and prototyping hardware for assemblies

  • Develop custom fixture designs for on-site and off-site prototyping and experimental testing

  • Build experimental setups containing fluidic, electrical, and mechanical components and specifications

  • Operate on-site prototyping equipment, such as small benchtop CNCs, 3D printers, and hand tools

  • Plan, execute, and record experimental tests



  • Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering major and 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years of experience in a design and engineering environment

  • Demonstrated competence and experience with Solidworks

  • Interest in performing hands-on mechanical assembly: fasteners, torques, adhesives, and hand tools

  • Experience in designs involving small parts or precision features

  • Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen requirements/specifications changes

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, technology startup with multiple simultaneous projects

  • U.S. Citizenship is required


Bonus Points!

  • Experience in designs involving additive manufacturing

  • Experience in designs involving molding techniques

  • Experience in fluid system design and assembly, including fittings, tubing, gasket seals, pumps, chillers, valves, heat exchangers, etc.

  • Industry experience in aerospace/defense, automotive, and/or computer hardware
